How to Donate

No donation is considered too small and every dollar makes a difference in helping a student succeed. Donations can be made in a variety of ways:

Donate by Phone

The Foundation would be happy to process your donation over the phone using a Visa or MasterCard.

Cheques can be mailed or delivered to:

Your donation can go a long way to assist a deserving student in need. The Lakehead Public Schools Foundation will distribute your donation to one or more of the following funding initiatives:

  • Grade 8 Award of Excellence
  • Scholarships
  • Student Assistance Fund

Donors who make a donation online through Canada Helps will receive a downloadable tax receipt from Canada Helps. For donations made over the phone or by mail, the Lakehead Public Schools Foundation will mail a tax receipt to the donor’s mailing address.

Types of Giving

Donations can also be made on behalf of friends, family, and loved ones.

Celebration of Life

At the direction of the donor, the Lakehead Public Schools Foundation would be happy to send an acknowledgement letter to the friend or family member of the memoriam.

In Honour

Celebrating special occasions such as:

  • Birthdays
  • Anniversaries
  • Retirements

Planned Giving

You may wish to give back to your community by thinking of the Lakehead Public Schools Foundation when planning your estate. Options include designating a specific sum or percentage of your estate in your will, gift of stocks and securities, and life insurance.
